Farewell to UNC
I am now officially unemployed for the week. Had my last shift in CTICU last Friday. All I can say is that there was a lot of food! Cake balls, Klondike bars, cake, Jimmy's bean dip, and my patient's family brought in Dunkin' Donuts to just add fuel to the fire. It was very ironic b/c my last day I took care of a lung transplant patient and we also had a past lung transplant patient drop by for a social visit. Can't wait to transition into my new role :) Deirdre also tried to throw a surprise party for me at Johnathon's house but everyone kept RSVP'ing to me instead of her. It was a really nice way to end my time there. I learned alot clinically, but I also learned a lot about myself while I was there. I will miss a lot of people and have gained a few very close friends from working there. Hope I find the same at Duke.
