anes Vs. Bruins (Oh and the Pats 16-0)
Friday night we went to the Hurricanes game with Ty's folks. Game was close, even got to see a penalty shot! In the end the Canes pulled it out 5-4. We had great seats in the Lexus Champion Club (again, thanks to Kip, Joyce's boss). Great view, comfy seats, free food and drinks. It was fun to root for both teams too ;) We are enjoying the rest of our weekend with no real agenda. Yesterday we took Mattie to Umstead for a run- it was 70 degrees here and a bit humid b/c it had finally rained. It was awesome to be out in shorts and a t-shirt on Dec. 29th. We tried to go to AAA to book our honeymoon but were unsuccessful due to an obnoxious couple that was with our agent for over an hour and they closed at 2 pm so we threw in the towel and will go back later this week. We have decided on Turks & Caicos as Greece is now out of our budget. If anyone wants to pay for our airfare to Greece then we could go, but basically if we choose Greece all we would do is fly over there and not be able to do anything b/c we would have burned up our budget on the flight and hotel. So we are headed to The Regent Palms hotel in Turks. This way we can go to the Spa a few times and eat/drink ourselves into bliss and stay within our budget. AND we will not be stuck on a plane/travelling forever to get there! After our AAA wait we went and fed the economy. We went to Best Buy and bought a very nice new digital camera and to Bed &Bath where we bought new duvet cover and sheets. We had a bunch of gift cards but we still managed to spend enough of our own money. And the day wouldn't have been complete without going out to eat and drink! We had my friends Johnathon and Glorimar over, as well as my friend Kelly's husband over. The 5 of us went to a new Southwestern/Mexican restaurant where they have awesome margaritas. My friend Sarah, and her new husband and sister-in-law met us out after for a drink and to show off their newly acquired wedding bands :) We rushed back to our house to catch the last 3 quarters of the Pats game. We are having a very lazy Sunday as it is POURING! I did manage to go to the gym and take a shower though :) Other than that we are enjoying a bloody mary or 2 and I am about to open up our new camera. So all the pictures I will post now should be better. Ty and I are both working tomorrow but will celebrating the New Year with a few of my friends from work with some dinner and champagne at somebodys house. Yeah for 2008! It's going to be an awesome year!
