Registration Complete!
T-minus not even 48 hours to race day! Stood in line for 30 min this AM to register- that was fun. Thought I would "get there early" which turns out was everyone else's idea too! Registration for Ironman can be a bit nerve wracking. Lots of people and instructions and a few more lines to stand in and of course there is the "weigh in" I weighed in @ 128 lbs which is about right on- I liked the scale they used.....I weighed in around 134 for IM CDA and I know I have lost some weight for this race. It is still intimidating though b/c you are surrounded by all these phenomenal rock hard and ripped bodies. Some beautiful people watching down here :) Had a good 60 min massage and spent the rest of the afternoon organizing all my transition bags and special needs bags. And of course the necessary trip to Wal Mart....where I got some Ben and Jerry's for post-race nourishment ;) Tom and Kelly got here safely around 3 pm and we've just been hanging out. Made a quick trip to the Ironman Village for some necessary gear. Off to the mandatory athlete meeting this evening. Tomorrow is crunch time- bike check-in, gear bag drop off, freak out, etc......
