This place is amazing. I am sitting out on the lanai taking in this beautiful morning. We arrived yesterday at around 4 pm Kona time. The last flight from LA to Kona was LONG and the plane was smaller than the Atlanta to LA leg. The flights were pretty uneventful, just a little rushed during layovers because Will is always the last one to deplane and by the time we had deplaned in ATL and LA, they were boarding the next flights. Trying to board Will during general boarding is not easy and it takes up time. We lucked out and were able to score a 2nd rental car, 7 people, 1 bike case, suitcases, and a wheelchair definitely called for 2 cars. We located our rental house without getting lost and settled right in. The house is wonderful, everyone has their own bedroom and bathroom. It overlooks the ocean and is surrounded by lush vegetation and lime trees. The limes are HUGE! The house does not have central A/C. Will and my parents have 2 small bedroom A/C units and then the rest of the house relies on keeping the windows open for the ocean breezes to flow through. It was 82 degrees and quite humid yesterday. Once the sun went down, it was actually pleasant to sleep w/o A/C. So today, I think we may stay local and get the lay of the land and check out town. I will be going down to the swim course to get in a swim. The other priority is unpacking my bike to see if it is still in 1 piece! That's it for now; Mahalo for all your support!!!
